The skies are finally clear up here in Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino and Lake Counties. We owe a huge thank you to all of the emergency responders and all that have worked tirelessly to get the fires under control and help those affected throughout this time. Harvest 2017 is finished for us here at The Dreaming Tree and we also want to thank all of the people in the vineyards and wineries that worked through to produce another great harvest year for us. We look forward to the re-building of our community over the upcoming months with a well-deserved glass of wine at the end of the day.
The Dreaming Tree received its first Platinum medal of 2017 at the Sommelier Wine Challenge last month by way of the 2016 Pinot Noir’s score of 94 points, deemed one of “the very best wines of the competition.” Making its result even sweeter, The Dreaming Tree 2015 Crush Red Blend and 2016 Sauvignon Blanc each won Gold Medals with a score of 90 points.
The Dreaming Tree wines were big winners at last month’s highly competitive San Francisco International Wine Competition, which had more than 4,200 wine submissions from 31 countries around the world. The 2016 Sauvignon Blanc and 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon were categorized as "finely crafted wines, well above average," and awarded silver medals. The 2015 Pinot Noir received a bronze medal for being a "well-crafted wine that deserves recognition."

Two of The Dreaming Tree wines, the 2014 Crush Red Blend and the 2016 Sauvignon Blanc, won awards at the recent 2017 San Diego International Wine Competition. With a score of 91 points, the 2014 Crush Red Blend won a gold medal, categorizing it as a wine that delivered additional complexity and character and rose above a straightforward recommendation. The 2016 Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc received a silver medal, deeming it as a wine with "above average character for the wine type and place of origin."
